Abbreviations of stitches in USE:

  dc stitch DOUBLE CROCHET

  tr  stitch treble crochet

  dctr stitch ( 3 times yarn over the hook)

O    ch- chains

Materials and tools you need for this project.

Cotton tread # 5or #3  50 gr

Hook: 1.5mm steel.

Metal round ring  diameter 12 inches or 30 cm.

Instruction:

Begin with head of butterfly, make chain of 10 chains and join in circle.

Butterfly antennas explanation:

In first round make antennas for butterfly with 15chains then turn back 4 hdc stitches and the rest stitches with slip stitches.

Next; make small antenna with 6 chains turn back with all 6 slip stitches.

Make another small antenna with same stitches.

Then last big antenna of 15 stitches as explain above.

Second half round as see on chart start from half of round that you already just made it in 1^st round.

2^nd half round: 4 ch, 1 tr in 4^th chain from the hook, in next and rest of stitches 2tr in one stitch total of 10 times.

3^rd round: 5ch, 1tr in next stitch, 1ch, 1tr in next stitch and repeat to the end of half round.

Top wings left or right no mater you stop with 3^rd round.

4^th row on chart: 5ch, 1tr in next stitch, 1tr in space between two tr from last round, 1ch, 1tr in same space, 2tr in next tr stitch, 2tr in next space, 2tr in next stitch, 1tr in space between two tr from last round, , 1ch, 1tr in same space, 2tr in next stitch, turn for next row. Continue with chart to 15 rows as I explain, bind off.

When you done with top butterfly. Attach yarn to the bottom of round and continue with chart for bottom wing.

Repeat steps for second top butterfly and bottom butterfly.

Arrows show how to connect butterfly to the rind by sewing around metal ring.
