CROCHET POOLSIDE BUTTERFLY RUG

Yarn: 1 lb any suitable yarn for the rug.

Acrylic with two stand can be used for this project.

Hook: 3mm or to obtain a gage.

Stitches in use:

SC- single crochet

Ch- chains

DC- double crochet

Tr= treble crochet

Instruction: Work by rounds.

1^st r: chain of 6 ch and join with slip stitch to complete ring.

2^nd r: 3ch, 17dc inside of the ring.

3^rd r: 3ch,* in next stitch 2dc, in next 1dc* repeat from * to * to the end of round.

4^th r to 5^th r: repeat round 3.

6^th r: 5ch, *skip one dc and work 1dc in next stitch, 2ch* repeat from * to * the end of round.

7^th r: 3ch, 1dc in next space, increase made it 2ch, *2dc in next space of 2 chains from last round*, repeat from * to * the end of round.

8^th r: same as 7^th round.

9^th r: 3ch, 1dc in next space, increase made it 3ch, *2dc in next space of 2 chains from last round*, repeat from * to * the end of round.

 10th round:          3ch, 1dc, 2ch, 2dc all in same space of 3 chains from 9^th round,*3ch, 2dc in next space of 3* repeat from * to * the end of round.

11^th r: 3ch count as 1st dc stitch, 1dc,* 2ch, 2dc in space of 2 chain from last round, here will be increase by 2dc and continue 2ch, 2dc, 3ch, 2dc, 3ch, 2dc, 3ch, 2dc, 3ch, 2dc, ending for wing 3ch, (2dc,2ch,2dc,2ch2dc all in 2 cha of last row here was increase by 2 dc), 3ch, * repeat around from * to *, slip stitch to the 2 chain you have from 11th row.

12^th to 16th round: from the two chain start 3 ch, 1dc in that 2 chains, 2ch, 2 dc in next 2 chains, skip 3 chains, 2dc in next available dc stitch from 11th round, 2ch, 2dc in next dc stitch( repeat that from skip 3 chains all around, slip stitch and join a round.

13th round: repeat 12th round.

14th round increase by one chain between groups of 2dc,2ch,2dc, 1 chain that would be increase and continue 2dc,2ch,2dc, again 1ch, continue around to the end of round.

15th round and 16 round: increase instead of 1ch between dc group make 2 chain, as 2dc,2ch,2dc, 2 chain that would be increase and continue 2dc,2ch,2dc, again 2ch continue around to the end of round.

17th round:3 ch(count as 1^st dc), 1 dc, 2ch, 2dc all in chain 2, 2ch, 2dc,4ch( increase to start new 1^st pineapple stitch),2dc , 2ch, 2dc, 2ch, 2dc in next group of dc stitches, 2^nd pineapple stitch will made 2dc, 2ch, 2dc

From 23^rd row to 45 row finish one wing, bind off.

Attach yarn where show on chart with red arrow.

Make 3 more wings then crochet Antenna for the butterfly and crochet around with boarder chart.
